As a WLAN Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing wireless local area network (WLAN) solutions. Your expertise in WLAN protocols, network infrastructure, and software development will contribute to delivering efficient and reliable wireless connectivity for our organization.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing WLAN software applications and firmware
- Implementing and configuring WLAN network infrastructure components
- Conducting WLAN performance testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide WLAN expertise
- Optimizing WLAN performance through fine-tuning, capacity planning, and network optimization techniques
- Staying updated on emerging WLAN technologies, industry standards, and best practices
- Performing security assessments and ensuring WLAN networks are protected against vulnerabilities
- Assisting in WLAN-related projects, including network expansions and upgrades
- Providing technical support and guidance to end-users regarding WLAN connectivity issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a WLAN Engineer or in a similar role
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong knowledge of WLAN protocols such as 802.11 standards
- Proficiency in WLAN network infrastructure design and configuration
- Experience with WLAN testing tools and equipment
- Familiarity with software development languages and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred candidates will have a very good track record of successfully developing and implementing WLAN solutions. Industry certifications such as Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless are highly valued. Experience in network security and WLAN optimization is a plus.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced WLAN Engineer. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
