As a Safety Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our organization's employees, customers, and assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement safety programs to maintain compliance with applicable regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.  

What you'll be doing 

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards 
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote safe work practices 
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences 
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish and maintain emergency response plans and procedures 
• Support the implementation and monitoring of occupational health programs, including ergonomic assessments, health promotion initiatives, and workplace wellness activities 
• Analyze data and trends to identify safety improvement opportunities and develop strategies for risk mitigation 
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging safety trends to continuously improve safety programs and initiatives 
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on safety-related matters and ensure adherence to safety protocols 
• Conduct safety training sessions and workshops to educate employees on various safety topics and emergency response procedures 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field 
• Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices 
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams 
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and develop practical solutions 
• Proficiency in using safety management systems and related software 
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable 

Preferred candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing or construction industry will be given preference. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a high level of adaptability are essential. Knowledge of local and international safety standards and regulations is advantageous. 

We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Safety Support Specialist. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
