As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure. What you'll be doing
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, servers, and software applications
- Monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and implementing necessary fixes or upgrades
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Implementing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Troubleshooting network connectivity and resolving hardware or software failures
- Performing system security audits and implementing security measures
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and reliability
- Keeping up-to-date with technology trends and recommending system improvements
- Providing technical support and assistance to remote users
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Bash
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred candidates that holds industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC). They should have experience managing remote systems and supporting remote teams. Additionally, knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and protocols, familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet, previous experience in working with hybrid cloud environments, and a proven track record in optimizing system performance and reliability are highly desired. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Remote Systems Administrator. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
