What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing inventory management strategies and procedures
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts
- Optimizing stock levels to meet customer demands while minimizing holding costs
- Collaborating with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitoring inventory movements, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions
- Analyzing sales trends and forecasting future inventory needs
- Implementing inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
- Managing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
- Utilizing inventory management software to track inventory levels and generate reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective collaboration abilities
Preferred candidates for this role should have hands-on experience in inventory management within an e-commerce or retail setting. Additionally, familiarity with demand planning and forecasting techniques, as well as a solid understanding of supply chain processes and procedures, is highly preferred. A certification in inventory management or a related field is desirable. Strong skills in negotiation and vendor management, along with the ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed inventory decisions, are valued. Previous experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with procurement and warehouse teams, is also advantageous. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
