As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's database systems. What you'll be doing
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient database structures
- Developing database solutions and ensuring data integrity, security, and availability
- Optimizing database performance and monitoring for potential issues or bottlenecks
- Implementing data models, data integration, and data migration processes
- Conducting database tuning and troubleshooting to improve overall system performance
- Performing regular database backups, recovery, and maintenance activities
- Designing and implementing data governance policies and procedures
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management
- Providing technical guidance and support to development teams for database-related matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience as a Database Architect or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with database security and backup/recovery processes
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong collaboration abilities
Preferred candidates for this role include individuals who possess relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. We highly value candidates with experience in working with cloud-based database solutions such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database. Additionally, expertise in big data technologies and NoSQL databases is highly desirable. Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple database projects concurrently are also preferred qualities. Furthermore, a passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential attributes we seek in candidates. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Remote Database Architect. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
