As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will play a vital role in our remote team by ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Oracle databases. Your expertise in database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting will contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our data infrastructure. What you'll be doing 

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle database software and related products 
• Monitoring and optimizing database performance, identifying and resolving performance issues 
• Implementing and maintaining database security, ensuring data integrity and access control
• Performing regular database backups and recovery procedures 
• Troubleshooting and resolving database-related problems and incidents 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions 
• Conducting capacity planning and resource utilization analysis 
• Developing and maintaining database documentation, including policies and procedures
• Keeping up to date with the latest Oracle database technologies and trends 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator or in a similar role 
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)  
• Strong understanding of database security and backup and recovery processes
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages 
• Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment 

Preferred candidates for this role have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and possess Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP). They have a track record of successfully managing and optimizing Oracle databases, demonstrating strong technical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as they will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand database requirements and provide effective solutions.
