As an IoT Device Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of IoT devices and systems. Your expertise in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, project management, and hardware/software integration will drive innovation and enable efficient connectivity in our organization.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of IoT device projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define device specifications, functionality, and performance requirements
- Managing vendor relationships and evaluating external IoT device solutions
- Conducting feasibility studies and technical assessments to determine the suitability of IoT devices for specific use cases
- Ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards in IoT device development
- Overseeing the integration of IoT devices with existing infrastructure and systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to IoT device functionality, connectivity, and performance
- Staying updated on emerging IoT technologies, industry trends, and best practices
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the IoT device team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in IoT device development or a similar role
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong knowledge of IoT technologies, protocols, and standards
- Proficiency in hardware and software integration
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal abilities
Preferred candidates will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a track record of successfully leading IoT device projects. Professional certifications such as Certified IoT Professional (CIoTP) or Certified IoT Architect (CIoTA) would be advantageous. Familiarity with cloud platforms, data analytics, and cybersecurity in the IoT domain is highly valued.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced IoT Device Lead. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
