As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible in ensuring the company's expenditures are well-planned and worthwhile by supervising expense reports, examining data on purchased goods and services from vendors, and suggesting cost-effective measures.
What you’ll be doing
- Excel in delivering accounting and operational services to clients by having a deep understanding of professional practices and keeping up with technological advancements
- Ensure smooth client onboarding and handle tasks such as accounts payable/receivable management, bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis, payroll, HR administration, and special projects
- Work closely with the team and manager to exceed client expectations through excellent communication, timely delivery, and outstanding support
- Build strong client relationships while adhering to processes and budgets
- Identify opportunities to increase client value and efficiency and recommend them to the manager
- Undergo virtual training under your manager's supervision following Supporting Strategies' procedures
- Keep your manager informed of your schedule, desired working hours, and any capacity limitations
- Attend regular team and individual check-ins to ensure alignment with goals
- Accept coaching and feedback from your manager and make necessary changes to support team and client success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- At least 5 years of experience in providing detailed bookkeeping support, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly book closing, and financial reporting/analysis for small businesses.
- 2 years of transactional accounting experience using QuickBooks in a professional setting.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Compliance with established policies and procedures.
- A passion for client satisfaction and helping small businesses succeed.
- Adaptability to new technology.
- Ability to build strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and knowledge sharing.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality when working with client data.
- Background in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting is a plus.
Preferred candidates who possess superb organizational and analytical abilities, pay close attention to details, are proficient in statistics, have exceptional problem-solving capabilities, can work effectively under stress, and consistently meet tight deadlines. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Cost Accountant. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
