What you'll be doing 

  • Contacting customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on overdue payments 
  • Negotiating payment terms and arrangements to resolve outstanding debts 
  • Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner 
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of collections activities and customer interactions 
  • Monitoring accounts for delinquencies and identifying potential risks 
  • Collaborating with internal teams to address customer inquiries and resolve issues 
  • Generating collection reports and providing regular updates on collection activities 
  • Escalating collection cases to management when necessary 
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of collections strategies and policies 

Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is a plus 
  • 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role 
  • C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and positive customer relationships 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities 
  • Proficiency in using collections software and tools 
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to collections and debt recovery 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote work environment 
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications 

Preferred candidates who possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional education in finance or a related field being a plus. They have 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role. Strong communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to maintain professionalism and positive customer relationships, are essential. Preferred candidates exhibit excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in using collections software, knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and attention to detail are crucial.
