Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our software applications. Your strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in diagnosing and resolving application issues to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.  

What you'll be doing 

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and customers 
  • Diagnosing and resolving application issues reported through tickets or calls 
  • Collaborating with development and QA teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Documenting and maintaining support processes and knowledge base articles 
  • Assisting in the testing and deployment of application updates and patches 
  • Monitoring application performance and proactively identifying potential issues 
  • Conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence 
  • Assisting in user training and onboarding for new applications and features
  • Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical issues 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 
  • Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role 
  • C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
  • Strong knowledge of software applications and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with programming languages and databases (e.g., Java, SQL) 
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

Preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully resolving application issues in a timely manner. They will possess experience in supporting web-based applications and have a good understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. Certification in relevant technologies and experience with incident management tools would be advantageous. 

We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Application Support Engineer. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
