As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our software applications. What you'll be doing
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and customers
- Diagnosing and resolving application issues reported through tickets or calls
- Collaborating with development and QA teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
- Documenting and maintaining support processes and knowledge base articles
- Assisting in the testing and deployment of application updates and patches
- Monitoring application performance and proactively identifying potential issues
- Conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence
- Assisting in user training and onboarding for new applications and features
- Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong knowledge of software applications and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with programming languages and databases (e.g., Java, SQL)
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully resolving application issues in a timely manner. They will possess experience in supporting web-based applications and have a good understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. Certification in relevant technologies and experience with incident management tools would be advantageous.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Application Support Engineer. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
