As an Actuarial Accountant/Insurance Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the insurance industry by analyzing financial data, assessing risk, and providing actuarial support. What you'll be doing
- Analyzing financial data and performing actuarial calculations to assess risk and determine insurance premiums
- Conducting financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic decision-making
- Preparing and reviewing insurance policy pricing and reserves
- Assessing the financial impact of insurance claims and settlements
- Collaborating with underwriters and other stakeholders to develop insurance products
- Providing actuarial support for regulatory compliance and financial reporting
- Analyzing insurance trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks
- Assisting in the development and implementation of actuarial and accounting systems
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or a related field
- Certification as an actuary (ASA, FSA, or equivalent)
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience as an Actuarial Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles and actuarial methodologies
- Proficiency in actuarial software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred candidates for this role should possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. Candidates with experience in insurance product development and pricing will be preferred, as they can contribute valuable insights to the actuarial and accounting processes.
