As a Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate tax returns, and providing expert tax advice to clients. This remote position offers you the opportunity to utilize your strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations to assist individuals and businesses in optimizing their tax positions and minimizing liabilities. 

What you'll be doing 

• Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations 
• Conducting thorough tax research to stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations 
• Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies 
• Assisting clients in resolving tax-related issues and responding to tax notices or audits 
• Collaborating with clients and colleagues to gather necessary financial information for tax return preparation 
• Advising clients on tax strategies and assisting with tax planning for business transactions and investments 
• Calculating and analyzing tax provisions and deferred tax assets/liabilities
• Assisting with tax compliance activities, including filing tax returns and maintaining tax records
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments in tax laws and regulations

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)  
• Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role 
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels 
• Proficiency in tax software and tools 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail  

Preferred candidates for this role will also possess excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient tax return preparation and client communication. Candidates with prior experience in providing tax planning and advisory services to individuals and businesses will be preferred, as they can bring valuable insights and expertise to the role.
