Senior macOS Engineer

About the Role
Build the core Mac application: screen capture, audio capture, system integrations, and the menubar/query interface. You'll own the capture pipeline, privacy controls, and user experience for a power-user productivity tool.
Responsibilities
- Architect screen and audio capture systems with minimal performance impact.
- Build menubar interface and Spotlight-style query overlay.
- Implement system integrations (Accessibility API, Calendar, Contacts).
- Design and enforce privacy controls (app exclusions, screen sharing detection).
- Optimize for continuous background operation and battery efficiency.
- Ship using The Composable Architecture (TCA) and modern Swift concurrency.
Requirements
- 5+ years macOS development with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Deep experience with system frameworks (ScreenCaptureKit, AVFoundation, Accessibility).
- Strong understanding of macOS security model and entitlements.
- Experience with background processes and power management.
- Track record shipping polished consumer Mac apps.
- BS/MS in CS or related field from a top-tier program.
- Prior employment at a recognized tech company or well-funded startup.
Preferred
- Experience with The Composable Architecture (TCA).
- Familiarity with Core ML and on-device ML.
- Experience with notarization and direct distribution.
