As a Ruby on Rails developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails, along with your understanding of database management and web development best practices, will be essential in delivering high-quality software solutions. We are seeking self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals who excel in remote work environments. 

What you'll be doing 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements 
• Designing, coding, and testing software applications using Ruby on Rails 
• Writing clean and efficient code following best practices and industry standards 
• Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure application functionality 
• Integrating third-party APIs and libraries into existing applications
• Collaborating with frontend developers to implement frontend designs 
• Optimizing application performance and scalability 
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members 
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails developer or in a similar role 
• Proficiency in Ruby programming language and the Rails framework 
• Strong understanding of database management and SQL 
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies 
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

Preferred candidates that have a strong background in Ruby on Rails development, with a track record of delivering high-quality web applications. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about coding, have excellent problem-solving skills, and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development. Experience with testing frameworks, knowledge of cloud platforms, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies will be highly valued.
