What you'll be doing

• Leading and managing the research and development team to drive innovation and achieve business objectives 
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify market needs and develop product concepts 
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product development strategies 
• Managing the product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization 
• Overseeing research activities, including feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing 
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards 
• Managing intellectual property, including patent filings and technology licensing 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and marketing, to bring products to market 
• Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and research advancements to drive innovation 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Engineering or Science. Advanced degree preferred 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)  
• Proven experience in research and development, with a focus on product innovation 
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset 
• Knowledge of product development processes and methodologies 
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to product development 
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams 
• Proficiency in using research and development tools, software, and methodologies 

Preferred candidates who possess experience in leading research and development within a specific industry or technology domain, demonstrate a proven track record in successfully launching innovative products to market, showcase knowledge of intellectual property management and technology transfer, and have experience in effectively managing research and development budgets and resources. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours. 

We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Research and Development Manager. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
