As a Credentialing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient credentialing process for our organization. What you'll be doing
- Managing the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Conducting thorough verification of credentials, licenses, certifications, and professional references
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external organizations to obtain necessary documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date credentialing databases and records
- Coordinating with providers to collect and submit required documentation within specified timelines
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of credentialing applications to regulatory bodies and insurance companies
- Monitoring and tracking the status of credentialing applications and following up as necessary
- Providing support and guidance to providers regarding credentialing requirements and processes
- Assisting with audits and quality assurance activities related to credentialing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience in credentialing or provider enrollment within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with credentialing standards and regulations, such as those outlined by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and verify credentials
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in using credentialing software and databases
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred candidates for this role are those who have prior experience working in a remote environment and possess a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification. Individuals with a comprehensive understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance credentialing processes will be highly regarded. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing regulations and requirements are also preferred.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Credentialing Coordinator. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
