As a Collection Specialist, you will be instrumental in our financial team, responsible for overseeing our company's collection process. Your duties will encompass managing overdue accounts, communicating with debtors, and arranging for debt repayment or establishing repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations. 

What you'll be doing 

• Overseeing the collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimize profit loss 
• Communicating with customers to inquire about their payment status 
• Negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Handling questions or complaints about unpaid invoices 
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments 
• Updating account status records and collection efforts 
• Reporting on collection activity and accounts receivable status 
• Ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and laws related to debt collection 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field is a plus 
• Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)  
• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
• Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g., FDCPA) 
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases 
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills 
• Ability to work with targets and tight deadlines 

Preferred candidates who have a proven track record as a Collection Specialist with at least 2 years of experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication and persuasion skills, and the ability to work with targets and tight deadlines.
