As a Remote Web Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the web infrastructure of our organization from a remote location. Your expertise in web administration and troubleshooting will ensure the smooth operation and security of our websites and online platforms. 

What you'll be doing 

• Monitoring and maintaining the organization's web servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime 
• Installing, configuring, and updating web applications and content management systems 
• Implementing security measures and monitoring for potential vulnerabilities and attacks 
• Performing regular backups and disaster recovery procedures for web assets 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues 
• Managing domain registrations, DNS settings, and SSL certificates 
• Analyzing website traffic and usage patterns to optimize performance and user experience 
• Assisting in the deployment of new websites and web services 
• Providing technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding web-related matters 

Requirements 

• Proven work experience as a Web Administrator or similar role 
• Strong knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and hosting environments 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)  
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP 
• Experience with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.) 
• Familiarity with web security practices and vulnerability scanning tools 
• Understanding of DNS, domain management, and SSL certificate implementation 
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment 
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills 

Preferred candidates for this role will have experience in managing remote web infrastructure and working in virtual team environments. Familiarity with cloud-based hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) will be considered an advantage. Additionally, candidates with knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in optimizing website performance and accessibility will be given preference.
