As a Collections Representative, you will be responsible for managing and resolving outstanding debts and accounts. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will be instrumental in contacting customers, arranging payment plans, and maintaining accurate records. What you'll be doing 

• Contacting customers to collect outstanding debts and overdue payments 
• Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers 
• Recording and updating account information and payment arrangements accurately
• Handling customer inquiries and providing exceptional customer service 
• Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner 
• Collaborating with internal teams to resolve payment issues and escalations 
• Identifying delinquent accounts and recommending appropriate actions 
• Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements during the collections process
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred 
• Proven experience as a Collections Representative or similar role 
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills 
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to handle challenging and sensitive customer interactions 
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills 
• C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English) 
• Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully managing collections in a fast-paced environment. They will possess a customer-centric approach and have the ability to de-escalate difficult situations while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Familiarity with financial regulations and experience in the banking or financial services industry would be advantageous.
